You are probably enjoying the arrival of birds in your yard, maybe even the mockingbird that wants to sing all night. We are beginning to see new babies arriving here in the park, too. Perhaps you’ve visited our Habitat Garden at Busch Gardens. We partnered with National Wildlife Federation to create a space providing:
- - Food
- - Water
- - Shelter
- - Places to raise young
You can even create a habitat space with containers on your patio, so long as all the elements are present. If you want to attract butterflies, for example, you will need both nectar plants and host plants where larvae will emerge and feed next spring. Insects and butterflies can be a great way to get kids into gardening.
